words to paper. my three poems.

I don't consider myself a skilled writer. Really within any degree. But I try at least every two days to write a poem. Either just as a practice of writing, but also as an emotional outlet that won't creep into my comics.

For you I have selected three of my favorite poems I have written so far. There is no accompanying preface to either piece. They were written in my room at night in a sleep induced impartial state of mind. In that way I hope it comes across as very transient.

"don’t litter."

Burdens are often taken on knowingly. Most commonly from virtue.
Things we carry with us. That weight that keeps us grounded.
You’re going to carry that weight. Up the stairs and down the stairs.
When falling our natural response is to take control and in doing so to release our burdens.
In moments of crisis where we must test ourselves. We must test ourselves against our own dispositions.
We can find what we still carry.

Things we litter behind as we go. If not careful can be picked up by others.
Your stride is not just your burden, but our collective burden.

So don’t litter.

"glass sheep" - 21:57 9.18.24

three glass sheep
hurling off a cliff
in to vapor
shattering animals

three glass sheep 🐑 🐑 🐑
green leaves litter the bottom inside of these
refracting signal bouncing off of us

shattering animals exploding into beams of hurt, straight into your mind.

"neutron starrr" - 5:05 9.20.24

To be me to be free
Me be to free me
Free me to be me

In the pages of the room
In a reverb of me
Work assignments missed
Cynically relentless broom

Dust drifting from corner to corner
Clean to clutter
Clutter to clear
Clear to clean

Neutron starrr

Thank you for reading them. I hope that they won't become burdens on your mind. I am not sure if I will make it a habit to share my poems. I think someday I aspire to publishing a collection of poems, leaves of grass style. But until then I think my poems are more of a workshop. Building some wobbly three legged chairs. Once I feel comfortable building something useful to anyone, I will feel more confidant in sharing these little notes.

I love you.
